Jesus was a prayerful man. He often approached His Father in heaven. As our example, He shows us how important it is to approach God to seek help in a time of need.
This lesson focuses on Jesus’ prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane. Here He is in the last moments before His betrayal and arrest. Overwhelmed with the dread of the cross, He petitions the Father for relief. Jesus knows, however, that it is His duty to shed His blood for the sins of man.
We can learn a great deal from the Lord’s Other Prayer.
