Selling Out Cheaply?

“Receive my instruction, and not silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold; for wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her” (Prov. 8:10, 11).

What we treasure, we pursue; we invest time, energy, effort. Are we seeking that which is of greater value than silver, gold,… and jewels? If not, we are selling ourselves out for a cheap price. In other words, we are cheap.
