All authority resides in Jesus Christ (Matt. 28:18). He is the Head of all principality and power (Col. 2:9, 10). His authority is the final and only authority regarding salvation; what is required. His gospel has the power to save (Rom. 1:16). We must obey it to be saved (Acts 6:7; Heb. 5:9).
This sermon on authority and baptism examines New Testament teaching on the subject. To illustrate principles of authority we look at the Old Testament account of Naaman the leper and draw lessons from it. Application of authority is made to New Testament doctrine on baptism and its necessity to salvation.
